To bear the weight of, especially from below. To hold in position so as to keep from falling, sinking, or slipping. To be capable of bearing; withstand. To keep from weakening or failing; strengthen.
That’s what you are to me. No matter what happened in my life, you remained constant. With everything that I’ve been through, you were there sharing every single emotion with me. You have always been my support system. When I believed that everyone gave up on me, you never left my side. I am forever grateful to have you in my life, and will do nothing less but continue to be here for you.
When you get hurt, you’ve learned how to get use to the pain. The strongest people out there, are the ones who laugh the hardest with a genuine smile. Those are the people who have fought the toughest battles. Because they’ve decided that they’re not going to let anything hold them down, they’re showing the world who’s the boss.
So don’t tell me I need an attitude change if you give me shit. Don’t expect me to give you respect if I don’t get it in return. Don’t expect anyone to treat you the way you want them to you if you won’t do the same for them. Straight up. Some people are so ignorant these days and think they could be treated as if they live their entire life on a throne. Please, how pathetic. Get real.
Someone who can put me in my place when I’m being stubborn or doing something wrong. Who can keep me on my toes, little surprises here and there (I’ve only been surprised with something special once.) Who is willing to take care of me because I’m always willing to take care of him. To be able to be 100% honest, no matter what. To tell me what’s on his mind when something is bothering him. Who isn’t too clingy, who will let me be with my friends (gotta have some space.) Someone I can be a complete dork in front of and he’ll think it’s cute. Who tells me to not wear make-up in public because he likes my natural look. Someone who will help me get over my fears. Who can be my lover, boyfriend, best friend all at once. Who won’t judge me for the certain things I like. Respect me and my family. Who will just accept me for who I am from day one.
